The Details
BG24 News is a volunteer, student run organization
dedicated to covering local news, weather, sports, and entertainment.
While the main focus of BG24 News is local, we are also committed
to following major news from all of Ohio, the region, the nation,
and the world. BG24 News is proud to present viewers with a professional,
informative, and interesting program, all while providing members
with the best possible hands-on-training for the television news
business.
Most of our members are Telecommunications
and Journalism majors; however, membership is open to, and encouraged
for any and all enrolled BGSU students regardless of major. Becoming
a member of the BG 24 News team is easy; just make a visit to the
newsroom located in the basement of West Hall and fill out an application.
BG24 News is proud to have a very
successful job placement record for graduating students. Most students
either have jobs or will find jobs very quickly after school. From
Ohio to California, Little Rock to Chicago, BG 24 graduates who
activity pursue jobs in the television broadcast industry and who
work hard while in BG 24 will be rewarded for their hard work. To
